The WildHaven Hospital Vision
WildHaven is being built as North Queensland’s first dedicated wildlife hospital - a safe place where injured, orphaned and critically unwell native animals can receive the veterinary care they deserve.
Our first hospital will be established in a portable demountable or container style facility, purpose designed for wildlife treatment. This allows us to begin saving lives sooner, while creating a hospital that is practical, efficient and able to grow with out vision.
Inside, Wildhaven will provide dedicated spaces for:
Emergency assessment and treatment
Patient stabilisation and critical care
Medication, supplies and clinical preparation
Recovery and species-appropriate holding
Cleaning, hygeine, and infection control
Support for rescue groups, carers and veterinary partners
This first stage is not the end of the vision - it’s the beginning.
Over the following 12 months, our goal is to establish a permanent wildlife sanctuary in North Queensland, where the portable hospital can be relocated and become part of a much larger future: a dedicated centre for wildlife treatment, rehabilitation, education, collaboration and conservation.
A place where native animals from both land and sea can receive care.
A place where rescuers and carers are supported.
A place where the community can see compassion in action.
A place built to change how wildlife suffering ends in North Queensland.
A safe place today. A wilder tomorrow.
WildHaven will begin with the hospital.
But the vision is far greater.
To build a lasting sanctuary of care, recovery and hope for North Queensland’s wildlife.
Help Bring the Hospital to Life
There are two powerful ways to become part of WildHaven’s founding story:
Corporate Wildhaven Founding Guardians
Partner with us as a business or organisation and help establish the hospital, fund vital equipment, and align your brand with a cause the community will remember.
Community Wildhaven 5000 Founding Guardians
Join the movement of everyday supporters giving $2 per week to help fund North Queensland’s wildlife hospital and keep life-saving care within reach. That’s only 5000 North Queenslanders giving $2 per week to raise $500,000 per year. We expect to treat 10,000 native animals a year.
